So close!
We had a great skype call with the orphanage on Monday and they are
meeting tonight to further discuss our case. We want God's timing, but
our desire is to have the adoption move quickly! Prayers for grants that we have applied for the tricky timing of those would be appreciated, too.

Perfect!
We got a video of our special guy this week. He looks perfect to me! I can't share the video, but I should have taken a picture of the look on Jeff's face last night as he watched it again-priceless. Matthew has us taking "Family Spanish Lessons" now. I tried to include them in my lessons without much success. But, now that Marlana is home and Matthew has the desire, we are really learning some serious Espanol! Well, actually it's fun Espanol--children's words and conversational phrases. Just waiting for our immigration approval and our official acceptance and referral from Colombia. Still praying we can travel this summer.

prayer please
We have just been told that it could be October before we travel. This is very disappointing. We either need a major dose of patience and peace or a miracle that would expedite things. Thank you.

Fundraising
Well, we are not going to be able to have our dinner/auction in May. Hoping to reschedule for end of June, beginning of July, if we are still here and not in Colombia. In the meantime, there's a Shirley Temple doll in excellent shape for sale on ebay! It's listed for $155 or best offer. "See seller's other items", too! And we are applying for a few more grants. Thank you to our latest generous donor--sweet, faithful brothers and sisters in Christ from our church denomination in the Chicago area. Thanks for offers to help with the dinner so far, too. We will probably be getting back to you on that. And, remember there will be lots of ways to help other than monetarily. Prayers for patience in the Lord's perfect timing are greatly appreciated right now.

Good news and other news
Well, the good news is that we are done submitting all of our paperwork to the agency. All we need to do is get passports for the kids and get fingerprinted for the third time. Woohoo! Jeff and I went to Xochimilco last night to celebrate! We also need to submit our financial life history to the organizations from which we desire grants.
The other news is that I don't get to go to Colombia this month to see the orphanage and Eddie. The timing is not going to work as they have decided they want to finish completing the translation of our paperwork before they let me in. Good idea on their part. Of course the worst that would happen is I would bawl my eyes out and want to take all of them home, like my sister in Christ,Tammy, did in China! We keep trusting that God's timing is perfect.
