Why do we want to adopt?

Why we want to adopt:
Because we have.  We have already adopted and we know the blessings, challenges and rewards for raising our 8 year old adopted son and our college age biological daughters.  We’ve had 2 tubal pregnancies, so that is why we adopted the first time—we want more children.
Because we can.   Lynn home schools part time to meet Matthew’s unique educational needs and is unable to work outside the home, so our finances look different than we planned for at this point.  Even though we don't have an extra $37.000 laying around, we feel we have the resources to care for another child. We are also equipped with the fruits of the spirit to complete the good work God is beginning:  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Because we are currently doing all the same things we would be doing.  We have space in our schedules, our home schoolroom, our home, our hearts for another special boy.
Because he needs us.  There is a little boy with special needs whose greatest need is a family that understands him and has the experience and support network to help him become all that God created him to be.  God placed this desire in our hearts and brought us to the right child in His perfect timing.
Because God first loved us.  While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us so that we might live eternally.  He adopted us into his forever family and calls us to be witnesses to this for the world to see.  Adoption is one way to portray Christ’s love for us.
